Do I need an appointment to look at wedding dresses?
We prefer appointments, this way you are guaranteed the utmost in customer service. Every bride will have reserved for them a private, spacious, mirrored fitting room, and a personal consultant who will wait on her exclusively.
Walk-ins are welcome providing there is a consultant and fitting room available.
Should I get a sitter for the kids?
Yes. A wedding is a fun place for kids – a bridal shop is not. Every bride deserves a stress-free shopping experience, without distraction. With mannequins that may fall, it is an unsafe environment for small children. Baby strollers are not permitted in the bridal salon.
When do most brides buy their wedding dress?
As soon as they become engaged! It’s never too early, both Brides Magazine and The Knot recommend ordering your gown no less than 6 months before your wedding. Many of our brides purchase 12 to 24 months before their wedding.
Should I bring pictures from magazines or the internet of gowns I like?
Yes, we love to see pictures to get an idea of your personal style! Take advantage of your consultant’s expertise, our extensive inventory, one-on-one customer service, and you will be sure to find the dress of your dreams!
Once I arrive for my appointment will I be able to look through the dresses? Or is it going to be like “Say Yes to the Dress” where the consultants just pull dresses from a back room?
During your 60-90 minute appointment, you will see that all of our collections are in full view in our open-stock showroom. We have a tremendous amount of dresses displayed on mannequins, as well as hundreds on the racks. This allows you to go through all of our styles and not be left wondering if your perfect dress was hidden in a back room and never pulled for you.
Do you carry plus size wedding dresses?
We offer all our best dresses in sizes 16 to 28W. They are available for purchase same-day, or you can special order. We have over 100 of our most fashionable and up to date styles in sizes 16 and up to try on!
What are prices like at Marry & Tux?
By letting your bridal consultant know your price point, she will be respectful in finding your dress within your desired budget. Our collection is priced from $700-$3000 with the majority of dresses being under $2000. Keep in mind, only a 60% deposit is required to order your wedding dress. Interest-free payment plans can be arranged, ask your consultant for details!
Who should I bring with me when I come for my appointment?
It’s great to have one or two people who will give you honest opinions. Bringing too many people is a recipe for disaster. In the end, be true to yourself and buy the dress you love.
For the comfort and privacy of all of our customers, the bridal salon is a ladies-only area. If you have a special circumstance, please call us for special arrangements.
Are the Wedding Gowns “Off the Rack” or “Special Order”?
At Marry & Tux you have a choice. Many brides purchase their dress from our in-stock selection or, if you prefer, we can place a special order.
What if I find the gown of my dreams and am not ready to buy it yet? Do you hold dresses?
Every dress we carry is for sale off the rack; therefore the dress of your dreams may not be available when you return. We suggest that you bring someone with you who can offer their advice, so you won’t have to leave your perfect dress behind.
How is Marry & Tux different from the other big chain bridal stores?
At Marry & Tux our focus is on customer service. Finding the perfect dress should be a fun and enjoyable experience. Our goal is that you will leave our shop and not only brag about the beautiful dress that you found, but also the experience you had in choosing it.
I’m not looking for a traditional wedding gown, but that’s all I’ve found at other stores. Do I have other options?
Absolutely! We are known for our selection of informal wedding gowns for tying the knot on the beach, second-time brides, and backyard weddings. Informal styles, destination, and reception dresses are priced from $139 to $500. These styles are shown on our main level, and are available for purchase & take home the same day!
I’m planning on losing weight. When should I shop for and buy my wedding gown?
Waiting too long can result in rush charges and possibly eliminate the chance of getting the dress you love. Every experienced bridal seamstress will tell you that it is easy to take a wedding gown down in size – up to 3 sizes. As many as 95% of all future brides will need some alterations even without a weight loss!
What about fittings and alterations?
Every bride will be able to take advantage of our “Hassle-Free” alterations. While most shops offer limited days and times for fittings, our 20 satellite seamstresses located from Concord, NH to Cape Cod are available days, nights and weekends for your convenience.
Does Marry & Tux carry bridesmaids?
Yes! We carry over 600 styles in stock from sizes 0-30W. We pride ourselves in carrying something for everyone, and have been awarded the “Best of NH” for bridesmaids 2 years in a row!
Bridesmaids are affordably priced starting at $135, and require a 60% deposit to be ordered. Keep in mind our bridesmaid styles are special order, so plan ahead!
What if some of my bridesmaids are out of town? What should I do?
We understand that not all your attendants are local, and providing us with their measurements will allow us to order them the dress that you’ve chosen for your wedding in their correct size and color.
Do you carry mother’s dresses?
At this time we do not carry “traditional” mother’s gowns. We carry a line of simple and clean special occasion dresses that are available on special order providing you have enough time for delivery. Please allow a minimum of 5 months for your dress to arrive.
When should I book my tuxedos?
Once you have chosen your bridesmaids dress and color it’s time to book tuxedos! We own our inventory and carry over 1000 tuxedos in our building. Out of state groomsmen? No problem! Book your tuxedos today and enjoy stress-free tuxedo pickup, with on-site and last minute changes available. It is generally recommended that the bride and groom book an appointment to select the styles for their party.
