Our mission at Marry & Tux Bridal is to celebrate life, and its momentous events with our Brides, Grooms and their families. This pursuit of happiness gives us our daily ambition to innovate, and provide personalized attention for each and every customer, assuring the best experience. Constantly adapting in a fast-changing world, we believe in sharing our wisdom and knowledge to assist in making a memorable life event for our customers. With a focus on respect, honesty, and integrity, our reputation has allowed us to have successfully dressed over a million Brides & Grooms since 1970 as the largest bridal store in New Hampshire, serving New England and beyond.
MARRY AND TUX BRIDAL, HOW THE STORY STARTED
1970
The story of Marry & Tux Bridal began in Haverhill, MA where the store was a one room bridal shop, and less than 700 sq.feet.
1976
The opportunity to purchase "The Marry Shoppe" in downtown Nashua presented itself.
1982
Moving the Marry & Tux Shoppe to its current location at 100 Daniel Webster Hwy in Nashua was the first in a series of expansions to our bridal shop. After the move from downtown Nashua to Daniel Webster Hwy, the business had flourished to a point where there was a need to expand.
1985
We met with contractors and drew up plans to create a large second lower level, adding 5,000 sq. ft. to the store.
MARRY AND TUX BRIDAL, RENOVATIONS AND REBRANDING
1988 -2011
Since 1988 our vision was to provide a memorable experience for every bride regardless of size, shape, or body type. We always catered to brides of all sizes, but we decided that there had to be more options for the plus size bride than just a small rack of dresses in sizes 16 and up.
2012
The location underwent another expansion adding 2,000 sq. ft. to create New England's only plus size wedding dress boutique. Adding this square footage allowed Barbara to remodel what was previously a property management company into a plus size bridal boutique with three large spacious fitting rooms, and the ability to stock over 150 plus size wedding dresses up to size 34. This expansion flows effortlessly from our bridal showrooms, allowing brides of all sizes to find their dream dress.
2014
Marked another significant milestone when Marry & Tux received a makeover that included a complete renovation of the interior, and a new logo.
2019
We decided to refresh our interior by adding custom signage, chandeliers, new paint, updated dressing rooms and energy efficient lighting.
2021
Eric Slaughenhaupt and Anna Zafiriadis purchased the business & will continue the mission of serving brides, grooms and their families with respect, honesty & integrity that was laid down before them. Eric did his undergraduate and master’s degree work in California, then 30 years in corporate finance roles for retail, restaurant, and manufacturing companies across the country, and owns Seasonal Specialty Stores in Amherst since 2019.
As an Army Brat, Eric moved 30 times before putting down roots for good in New England. Anna is a local girl, growing up in Dracut, got her marketing degree at BU, then spent over a decade in Greece working for a Fortune 100 company, before returning home. Marry & Tux has 6 huge showrooms on 2 floors and over 9,000 sq.ft., and our bridal consultants want you to relax and have fun as they help you find the most amazing and important dress you will ever wear, and we look forward to meeting you at your appointment!
